What is SIA?

SIA (SkyWest Inflight Association) operates primarily as a tool for SkyWest management, rather than serving as a genuine representative body for the Flight Attendants. Funded entirely by SkyWest, SIA functions as an extension of management, enforcing company policies under the guise of representation. Despite claiming to act on behalf of Flight Attendants, SIA has not been elected by SkyWest Flight Attendants nor certified as our bargaining representative. This arrangement undermines our rights to fair and independent representation, as protected by federal law, by placing the interests of SkyWest management over those of its employees​​.

The Department of Labor filed a lawsuit against SkyWest Inflight Assocation for their lack of proper and tranparent reporting as well as serious irregular election.
